about
Morgan Hall

Morgan Hall is a self-taught artist from the Washington, DC metro area, currently based in Atlanta. She creates expressive, culture-centered work in acrylic paint defined by bold color, layered texture, and modern composition. Her practice moves between abstract and figurative forms, often incorporating impasto techniques that bring a sculptural, dimensional quality to the surface.

Her work is rooted in identity, emotion, and everyday resilience—drawing from Black culture, introspection, and love. Blackness is both the subject and source, shaping the tone and narrative of her pieces.

Morgan’s creative foundation began in the early 2000s, when she created digital art for a personal website alongside her essays and poetry. She later followed a traditional path into a career as a lawyer and software sales executive, while continuing to nurture her creative instincts through jewelry design and interior decor.

Hall approaches her art as an extension of a broader philosophy: that we are layered, evolving beings not meant to be confined to a single identity or path. Rather than adhere to a fixed signature style, she allows each piece to be guided by instinct and current inspiration—resulting in a body of work that is varied, exploratory, and alive.
